Our Sweet Little Mini Mountain Ceremony Spot In Estes Park

A Mini Mountain In Estes Park For A Full Elopement

OR A Ceremony, Then Photos In Rocky Mountain National Park

Photos by partner company Colorado Photographer Squad

This spot is a bit of a hidden gem in Estes Park - you can pass by it and not even know it’s there!

The path is easy to walk, plus there are several great spots for a ceremony for just the two of you or with a small group of family/friends. The Ponderosa Pines are part of a forest here that has such a joyful, bright feeling. Plus you are surrounded by views of bigger mountains all around - a rugged rocky ridge off in one direction and the Continental Divide off in another direction which boasts the most famous peaks in Rocky Mountain National Park. Read on for all the intel!

Plan 1: Have your full elopement at the Mini Mountain.

Have an elopement ceremony and photo shoot with just the two of you or with family and friends at this spot. The whole experience contained in one sweet place. Plus enjoy Estes Park and the many mountain adventures that you can get into around the area before and after your big day.

Or Plan 2: Mini Mountain ceremony, then Rocky Mountain National Park photos

This spot is the perfect solution to a dilemma that many eloping couples face these days: You’d love to elope in Rocky Mountain National Park, but all of the wedding ceremony permits have been given out for the date or time frame that you want to elope.

Good news! Our Mini Mountain spot is beautiful, and is a quick 20-minute drive from RMNP. When you don’t have an RMNP wedding ceremony permit, that just means you can’t have your ceremony there. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t take wedding photos in the park after getting married just outside the park ;) We’ll set you up to have your ceremony at the Mini Mountain, then meet the photographer in RMNP for gorgeous after-ceremony photos. Or you can do your RMNP photo shoot before your Mini Mountain ceremony, whichever you prefer.

Check out this page here to see the many amazing RMNP photo spots for after your Mini Mountain ceremony! Spots include Sprague Lake, 3M Curve, Trail Ridge Road, Moraine Park and Dream Lake to name a few.

And now check out the Mini Mountain with lots of photos and different elopements below…

With love,
Officiant Lisa

All The Deets

Availability: Accessible year-round. Mid-June through early October are ideal for weather.

Group Size: Just the two of you or bring up to 10 guests with you.

The Drive: A 5-minute drive from the nearby mountain town of Estes Park.

The Walk: It’s a 10-minute hike on a wide gravel trail that is graded so the surface is not uneven like a full-on hiking trail. You’ll still want hiking shoes or sneakers for this though, and if you want to wear fancy wedding shoes, you can switch to them at the ceremony spot.

Permit: None for you to get - we’ve got you covered!
