An Amazing Spot In The Heart Of The Rockies

This lake is a such a special spot. It’s at 10,000 feet in the high country - a true alpine wilderness lake. And at the same time, you can drive to it!
You can have your ceremony next to the lake on the beach, or sheltered in the fir forest that hugs the lake edge or out in the meadow with the big view.
Play on the rocky beach, marvel at the view and find nooks and crannies in the forest which feels like a fairy forest. You can even wade in the water if you’re feeling adventurous in your wedding clothes ;)
The entire time you’ve got 13,000 ft. Indian Peaks as your backdrop. This is the heart of the rockies. Read on for all the intel!

All The Deets
Availability: Beginning of July through end of September. Most other times it’s under snow!
Group Size: Just the two of you, or bring up to 10 guests with you.
Special Note: There is zero cell phone signal at Brainard Lake and for much of the drive.
The Drive: A 45-minute drive from the nearest town on a well-paved road that gently twists and turns through forested areas and past the base of majestic snow-capped peaks.
The Walk: It’s a flat, easy five-minute walk from the parking lot to the lake.
Permit: None required. Obtain a timed entry pass ($16 per car) for park access. It's easy to get a timed entry pass and I'll give you an instruction document to do so.
