There’s something about a couple that’s been together since high school.
Arianne & David met when Arianne was the new kid in town. She wore a soccer jersey to school one day and it gave David a reason to strike up a conversation with her. They have been together ever since.
These two have grown up through all of those “now we’re adulting” milestones, and built a life full of adventure and big goals. We planned their day to reflect and honor this - a five-minute hike into a magical pine forest, then a simple ceremony for two on a gorgeous sunset mountaintop.
Because these two have such a rich history, the ceremony was all about the vows. They used our Vow Adventure Kit to write their own from scratch and wow were they beautiful - the kind of vows that a couple can only write if they’ve been building a relationship since they were teenagers. Between Arianne, David, myself and the photographer, there was not a dry eye in the house.
Oh and a big part of their day - Dante and Antaeus - this couple’s fur babies. When trying to blog about Arianne & David, it’s hard to not make it all about their dogs, who have their own Instagram account (@dantesdivinewoof) and stole part of the show in photos simply by hanging out and being themselves. For that reason, Dante and Antaeus got their own “elopement dog blog” post which you can see here :)

The mini adventure began with Arianne’s trail walk on the way to a romantic first look.
Next we headed down the trail with Dante and Antaeus who were our furry witnesses for the ceremony :)
The mountain top was gorgeous that evening, with the sunset doing its thing and the peaceful calm reminding us what life is really all about in the way that only nature can remind us.
We wrote Arianne & David’s ceremony to be focused almost entirely on the vows that they’d put their hearts and souls into. Their stories and their promises were deeply moving and filled the ceremony with the richness of all the years they’ve been building their relationship.
Then the ring exchange to seal the deal, and… Married!
After the ceremony, the quintessential romantic photo session while these two soaked in the bliss.
Then back for a photo shoot with the dogs because together these four make the sweetest family!
