250 million years ago these rocks were the sandy beaches and dunes of an ancient inland sea, then as mountains rose and geologic time progressed they became the stunning red rock formations you see today.

Picking A Spot For Your Ceremony
The beauty of eloping Garden of the Gods is that there is no restriction as to where you can have your ceremony. If it is just the two of you, we can literally pick any spot and so you can imagine sharing vows and rings in any of the photos that you see on this page, plus there’s so many more perfect spots for an intimate ceremony.
If you will have a small group of guests with you, then there are also several choices for ceremony location. You may bring a few chairs or have everyone stand since the ceremony is deeply meaningful while at the same time usually only takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
We invite you to notice which photos feel like the kind of spot you want to elope and we will plan your experience accordingly. Do you see yourselves right next to big red rocks? Or with a big expansive backdrop and the rocks in the distance? Is it just the two of you or will you have friends and family along for the adventure? As you get clearer on these things, the more real your day becomes!
Insider Tips: Permits, Logistics & More
There are also no permits required to get married in Garden of the Gods! And also no entrance fee to the park.
The one big logistic is timing and parking. There is limited parking at Garden of the Gods and lots of people. For this reason, you want to aim to elope on a weekday if possible. The trails and parking lots are much less busy compared to the crazy weekends.
We will schedule your day so that you avoid the crowds and also give you driving directions to our favorite spots, plus strategies to get the best parking. After all, you’re eloping to keep things simple - we can’t have little things like parking stressing you out!

The photographer on our team are highly experienced with years of photography under their belt, plus they know the park’s best spots and rock formations for photos that are so much more than your typical wedding day photos.
