Their Four Girls And All Their Gifts

On a brisk October evening, this mountain top came alive with the activity and antics of Chrissy & Ryans family and their four girls as they all took to the trail for a sunset elopement.
Early October in Colorado is a great time for dreamy sunset lighting and this evening did not disappoint. Plus the mountain was quiet since the summer hiking traffic had slowed down. The perfect combo for an intimate family wedding.
We were especially excited for Chrissy & Ryan’s elopement not only because their four girls were going to be their wedding party, but also because we had some special and unique things planned for the ceremony.

This mountain has the perfect trail/aisle which Chrissy walked down with her dad while everyone else waited at the ceremony spot.
One of our team of officiants, Stephen, was facilitating their ceremony. He, Ryan and the girls greeted Chrissy and her dad, plus Stephen even did the old school “Who gives this bride away” that they had requested.
The girls were not only bridesmaids, they were also a huge part of the ceremony. For instance, handing Chrissy’s gorgeous bouquet to a guest so that her hands were free while she and Ryan said I Do’s.
If you look closely at the photos, each girl is holding her own ribbon to use for a hand fasting which is an ancient Celtic tradition where ribbons are laid over the couple’s clasped hands, then tied in a knot to signify union and commitment.
Each girl laid her ribbon over Chrissy and Ryan’s hands creating a colorful display, then Officiant Stephen had them “tie the knot” to seal the deal.
Next, Chrissy and Ryan shared vows that they had written from scratch using our Vow Adventure Kit, and then something really cool and unique - they made vows to the girls and gave them each a gift!
At ceremony’s end, there was much dancing and celebration, then it was time for family photos!
Then romantic couple photos along with some sweet “just the two of us” time on the mountain to bring a close to a beautiful day…
