We scouted this spot a few years ago when other spots were starting to get a bit more busy than we like. And wow, finding it was like finding Narnia. I scouted it with my husband one week and found a different spot that wasn’t as exciting. Then my photographer companion came with me the next week and we stumbled across this spot which we now call Dream Point. Can you imagine stumbling upon this spot?! Especially being elopement leaders - we were SO excited!
So here’s how a Dream Point elopement goes: You meet us in the parking lot and we’re off on the mini adventure. The hike is about 20 minutes long with no elevation gain. We first go through beautiful Ponderosa Pine forest, then a big open mountain meadow, then we scramble down a short but steep rocky trail to get to “the point” which is the rocky outcropping you see us where we’re doing the ceremony in all the photos. You get married feeling like you’re on the edge of the world (because you literally ARE on the edge of a mountain), with foothills and mountains as far as the eye can see. In fact, on a clear day, the view is all the way to the Continental Divide!
After your ceremony, you do romantic photo shoot all the way back to your car - first at the point itself, then in that big meadow and the Ponderosa Pine forest you hiked through on the way in.

All The Deets
Availability: Accessible May 1st through October 30th, with mid-June through early October being ideal for weather.
Group Size: Just the two of you.
The Drive: A 25-minute drive from downtown Boulder on a twisting, scenic, well-paved road with beautiful views as it takes you up the mountain.
The Walk: It’s a 20-minute hike to Dream Point on a rocky dirt trail and no elevation gain except for a quick jaunt up a forested hill. We require hiking shoes or sneakers since it’s still an uneven dirt trail, plus you’ll want lots of ankle support for a short but rocky and somewhat slippery section of the trail just before Dream Point. If you want to wear fancy wedding shoes, you can change into them at the site :)
Permit: Commercial permit required. We’ve taken care of it for you and it’s included in your package.
