NEW HOME BLESSING

Perhaps you've just purchased a new home, or maybe you're simply moving into a new place and want to celebrate the change. Stepping into a new home means the beginning of a new chapter, and when we acknowledge this with ceremony, it makes it that much more meaningful. If you're not affiliated with a church or particular spiritual path, but still want to recognize this important milestone in a meaningful way, you might be wondering, "Who would facilitate this kind of ceremony for us?" Well, that would be me! As an interspiritual family minister, I believe there are as many different definitions of spirituality as there are people, and I travel around Colorado supporting my families and individuals to celebrate their important milestones, each in their own unique and beautiful way. 

During your new home blessing, we officially acknowledge that this is now your home and bathe it in love, joy and the specific intentions for the life you want to create there. It can be a small, intimate gathering or a larger party, whatever fits your style.  

Here's how the New Home Blessing process works...

• Complimentary Phone Chat:  I'll hop on the phone with you to learn about what you want, and to begin to envision your ceremony with you. This is a fun, creative session and will also help you decide if you'd like to work with me.

• Ceremony Creation:  I will create a completely customized ceremony for you, which is what will make it special, meaningful and memorable for years to come. We meet in-person so that I can get to know you - your tastes, your style, your family and community, your spiritual and non-spiritual preferences, plus how you want the ceremony to feel and who will be involved.  Then I'll guide you to choose a few ceremony elements in addition to the blessing by me. There's a lot to choose from - readings, music, symbolic candle-lighting, setting of intentions for your life in the home, prosperity coin shake, rose petal blessing, a blessing bough or bowl, a threshold altar or table, special cultural prayers or rituals, a tree-planting and other options. We'll pick what fits you best!

• Ceremony & Arrival:  I officiate your ceremony, and also arrive 30 minutes early to help prepare the ceremony elements and check in with any other ceremony participants about their roles.

• Extra Perk:  Once I’ve worked with you, I consider myself available to you as your family minister, and I give you ongoing no-charge access to my weekly office hours for spiritual support by phone should you ever need it (more on my office hours and spiritual support here). 

New Home Blessing Fee:  $625, which includes everything mentioned above. If there's anything unusual or extra involved, that could add a little more to the fee. An additional travel fee applies for any location more than 40 miles from my Boulder, CO home base.
